We usually Hash in Tampa, but today is a special day
Casual Friday, Rectal Roomate and Mystery Hare found somewhere else to play
They say get ready to dig as you scavenge through the sand
We’ll see who gets there first to find what treasure has been planned
Sing a verse from the S+M man or be held captive by a troll
Better learn one quickly now or he will have to exact a toll

CasualFriday & RectalRoomMate were the hares and TaintTickler was the FRB and the Brainless Award winner.

Kudos to wanks who showed up for a beautiful sunny day in Treasure Island for a fun-filled hash! My face hurts this morning from laughing so hard. Circle was GREAT FUN! Kudos to Rotten Cherry for obtaining the biggest balls I've ever seen on the beach, laurels to Virgin Don for being the FRB to the beer stop and congratulations to him on his new (instant) naming, FreeBalling! Sing it Tom Petty! Congratulations to FRB Taint Tickler, for making an unbelievable time to finish (it about killed him); his Granny will be proud of him. Thank you HQL for taking the appointed water trail, glad a bull shark didn't get you. Thanks to those wanks who brought extra verses of S&M Man for wanks who thought they wouldn't need one. Congratulations to the hash couple from Georgia who unknowingly parked their car on trail (hares floured it) while they got married on the beach. Hares also left a JRH3 card on the window, so the couple called the hot-line to find the on-afters and met up with us! How cool was THAT! Thank you Girth for schmoozing with the old ladies at Kosmakos, you made their day!

Lessons Learned:

1. Being nice to the trail troll will get you directions to the rest of trail
2. No bonus points are given for taking check point flags
3. When you're obviously on trail, you're not lost
4. Running in sand is good for the calves
5. Sharing found treasure makes you a stud

Huge thanks to my co-hare, Rectal for many things, including digging the holes in sand, in the rain, so the pack could have a good time on the beach. Rectal and I (hares) had a blast bringing JRH3 wanks the annual JRH3 beach hash!

• Where: Meet in the overflow parking lot across the street, on the south side of Gulf Blvd, from Captain Kosmakos Dinner Lounge, located at 9610 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island, FL.

• When: Meet at 2:00 PM, on trail at 3:00 PMish (please note the earlier start time).

• Directions: Click here for a map.

  • From I-4 & I-275, in Central Tampa: Go south on I-275 for 21.3 miles. Take the SR-595 E exit, at Exit 23B, for .7 miles on 20th St N. Go right on Central Ave/CR-150 for 6.7 miles. Go left on Gulf Blvd for 1.1 miles and find the overflow parking lot on the right, just prior to the Blind Pass Bridge.

  • From Clearwater, to the north: From Court St, go south on US-19 Alt S for 9.9 miles. Make a slight left to merge onto the Tom Stuart Cswy for 1.5 miles. Go left on Gulf Blvd for 4.1 miles and find the overflow parking lot on the right, just prior to the Blind Pass Bridge.

  • From Bradenton/Sarasota, to the south: From I-275  & I-75, go north on I-275 across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge for 17.1 miles. Take Exit 17 on the left to 54th Ave S. Go left on 54th Ave S for 3.7 miles. Go right on Gulf Blvd for 2.4 miles. Go right on 74th Ave for .1 miles. Go left on Blind Pass Rd for 1.3 miles. Immediately after crossing the Blind Pass Bridge onto Treasure Island, Blind Pass Rd becomes Gulf Blvd. Once there, find the overflow parking lot on the left.

  • From Riverview, to the east: From Gibsonton Rd, go south on I-75 for 21.6 miles. go north on I-275 across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge for 17.1 miles. Take Exit 17 on the left to 54th Ave S. Go left on 54th Ave S for 3.7 miles. Go right on Gulf Blvd for 2.4 miles. Go right on 74th Ave for .1 miles. Go left on Blind Pass Rd for 1.3 miles. Immediately after crossing the Blind Pass Bridge onto Treasure Island, Blind Pass Rd becomes Gulf Blvd. Once there, find the  overflow parking lot on the left.

• Remarks: Bring something to dig with, you will need it on trail.  Also, bring a verse from "S&M Man" song for trail, you will need it! 

• Trail: True trail is not stroller or dog friendly, unless you want a work-around from the hares, which makes you ineligible to snare a hare.

• Hares: CasualFriday, RectalRoomMate and Top Secret Trail Troll will be the hares.

• Cost: $6 for drinkers and $3 for non-drinkers.

• On After: The on after will be at Caddy's On The Beach, located at 9000 "West" Gulf Blvd. To get there from the starting location go west on Gulf Blvd for .1 mile. Go left on the 2nd street, which is "West" Gulf Blvd, for .1 mile and find Caddy's on the right.
