Hare Blessings
.

The hash crack was contaminated with a disease
It started with Inda and spread with a sneeze

Next was F*ckle who passed it to Ship in the night
And from Ship on to Lepra with a cough not a bite

The last of the infected was B&B,
She got it from kissing her sick hub-by

We’re craving your flesh and are the running dead
So you better run fast or it's off with your.....cranium

Now we’re chasing you and everything is reverse
So f*ck that damn blessing, It's time for a curse

Listen to me;

Curse this pack
Curse this trail
Brains-us DO Feed-us
Flesh-us DO Rot-us
Virus DO Infect-us
And No one can survive-us
NOW RUN!! RUN!!!!!!!

Inda Linda

B&B and I had split 5 minutes before circle to head to our prospective zombie hiding places. B&B's role was to gather the walkers on the train tracks and I was stationed to scare the shit out of everyone, keep people on trail, and sweep the runners trail as soon as I saw the last walker. Easy enough.

We head towards a dark field near the train tracks and make out the shape of the abandoned rusty shack. Outside the shack was a gutted trailer and some random deserted couches. As we get nearer we can hear the wind slamming the rusty tin doors open and shut. We both had to go through to make sure that it was indeed safe.

"Hello, is anyone there?" we both said sporadically as we shined our lights in the corners of the shack as if a serial killer or homeless person would so easily reveal themselves. We continued to search kicking up the dust and glass all over the floor. Our headlamps shining through random plexiglass nailed to makeshift counters that were made to protect the former owner from God knows what.

BOOM! BOOM! We both gasp and swing around. It was just the wind and the doors again. After we cleared the perimeter we both left the shack I sent B&B on her way. It was my turn to go back and face the shack alone.

I cautiously went in and climbed the unsupported make shift stairs only to sit on top of a shaky second floor made of particle board. I feared shining my flashlight because if anything thing was in that shack I didn't want to see it. I had a mission. However all I could do was think of the possible creatures hiding in that dark rusty shack. Creatures including but not limited to Grudge monsters, Paranormal Activity demons, Chuckies, Hell Raisers, real zombies, bath salt zombies, bugs of any size, wild animals, tame animals, police, crack heads, last years thugs, homeless people, and regular people with homes. I busted out my iPhone to wait patiently for my co-hares text when I suddenly heard loud voices.

The voices were not familiar. They belonged to men. I then heard dogs barking in the near distance. I power my phone down to hide the light and keep completely silent and frozen. BOOM!

All I can think is that some angry owner is going to find me and shoot me because he thinks I'm a real zombie. I stay as quiet as possible. Then the voices go away." Are they on to me?" I keep thinking that my possible death by shooting would be a big kink in this years zombie trail so I get panicky. My heart races. My breathing gets heavier. I suddenly feel a vibration. I pick up my phone and whisper. "Hello?"

"Hey it's Fuckle. The pack is off. How are you?" "Good. I'm really scared." "Hang in there you're doing great!" "Ok I will, bye." So my last words were going to be "I'm really scared....Ok I will, bye." Disappointing but fitting.

More frightening minutes pass and just as I contemplated nearly running out of the shack to hide outside instead, I start to hear whistles. My fear melts as its time for my role to be activated. I stand near a barrier and start to growl and shuffle. Spicy gets to the edge of the shack and hears me rustling about. In a calm voice he shouts "Zombie!". I never heard such a reaction. The lights from the runners headlamps went in all directions but were generally moving faster than usual past the shack. It was too dark to tell who was panicking but their sense of fear was worth the seemingly long wait in the shack.

Now for the next groups. I wanted them to come inside so I stayed quiet. They stepped in and shined their light. Every groups flashlights seemed to stop at me. Most of them wanted to turn around so I gave away my secret. "I'm not gonna get you now! Stay on trail!" No one was trying to find the extra lives scattered in the shack. Metawhorical Sunshine freaked out and started screaming and scurrying. As soon as HPV, Urine Trouble, and U Drive walked in I took off.I ran down the train tracks and was in the middle of the first set of shiggy when I felt a light behind me. I turned around and yelled "Are you?" It was When Fairy Met Sally. Always late but just in time to meet his doom.

Fairy: "Bitch you're not gonna get me."
Me: "Oh yes I am I know true trail!"

He gains on me and then splits I can't catch him right away but I cross in front to the direction he's going. I keep running but he disappears behind me. He hid himself in a bush. I didn't have time to wait for him. There was a lost Just in front of me to catch. He fearfully says:"Are you a zombie? Umm we can work this out right? NOT COOL! NOT COOL!" I was so close to him but I've had a long day and I was exhausted. He kept zig-zagging. Then I hear a familiar voice. "Did you get him yet?" It was Fuckle. I shook my head no. And he sped up towards the Just. I ran past knowing Fuckle would catch him and then catch up to me. Not only did he get the Just but he got Fairy when he popped out of the bushes at the wrong time. Now it was a steady run. Lepracock and Fuckle ran ahead and I stayed behind with the new zombies. As Fairy and I approach the shot stop we hear sirens. I panic because I know the sound is coming from the shot stop. As I approach there were police, zombies, and hashers.

Apparently people darting across the street and running from "stabbing" victims was a cause for concern so after negotiations the police insisted on escorting us off of the main road and basically back to the beginning. It was back to reality. We weren't ready yet. There was so much left to do. We didn't want to wait another year to try again.

Sigh. At least no one was mugged.

On- There's always next year.-On,

Inda Linda
