Trail Directions & Info

Where: Meet in the Clearwater City Pool parking lot, located at 51 Bay Esplanade, Clearwater, FL 33767.  It costs $1.25 an hour to park there before 6 PM. After 6 PM, parking is FREE for up to 5 hours. For a map go to http://goo.gl/maps/YgndL. 

When: Meet at 1 PM, on trail at 2 PM. The ship sails at 5 PM.

Directions: From I-275 & I-4, in central Tampa, go south on I-275 for 4.8 miles to Exit 39 to FL 60. Take Exit 2 and merge onto FL 60 west all the way to the traffic circle at Clearwater Beach, for about 18 miles. At the circle, take the 2nd exit onto Mandalay Bay for 0.5 miles. Go right on Bay Esplanade for 0.1 miles and find the Clearwater City Pool parking lot on the right. For a map go to  http://goo.gl/maps/ZFw7l.

Trail: This will be a 3+ mile, with 1 beer stop and a shiggy level of 1, on a 1-5 scale, with 5 being the toughest.

Donations: Suggest $7 for drinkers and $3 for non-drinkers. Add $37, or less, for the Pirate Ship Excursion, depending upon how many people in our group go and how you book it.

Hash Raffle: Bring stuff to donate for a hash raffle, if you like,.. or not. One pirate's trash is another pirates treasure.

On Afters: The on after will be  at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill, located at 7 Rockaway St, Clearwater, FL 33767, http://goo.gl/maps/iRRt9 and/or on Captain Memo's Original Pirate Cruise, departing from 25 Causeway Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33767, http://goo.gl/maps/fgGsw. Suggest those not going on the cruise go directly to Frency's after circle and hold tables for the rest of us who will be coming there after going sailing on the pirate ship.

Directions to Frenchy's & Pirate Ship: To get to Frenchy's from the start, go left/west on Bay Esplanade for 0.2 miles to the beach, left on Rockaway St for 0.2 miles and find Frenchy's on the right. To get to the pirate ship launch location from Frenchy's, go east on Rockaway St and then take the first right onto Mandalay. At the traffic circle take the 2nd exit and enter the marina for the pirate ship, http://goo.gl/maps/5QlgS. Follow the reverse to get back to Frenchy's and the start.
