Commentary (Expanded Hash Trash)

It was billed as the Trouples Trail, something about a threesome (hared by Math Sux, O4 Whore, and Shitting Bull) . . . which sounds pretty good from the outside . . . Buuuuuutttttt, like most sexual events where you have to focus on more than one thing, there was a weeee bit of confusion. As you can see on the map, trail basically went out and back in a generally linear fashion. This can be done effectively, Buuuuutttttt, (note to future hares that choose to do so) avoid using intersections on the out-trail (when a simple true trail arrow to the left will do), when crossing the street means finding the in-trail. Many of the pack did this at least once, nearly (at least a couple of us did) going all the way back to start.

Already a mile and half into it, and starting all over again . . . taking another look at trail, we found the one that took us out to Gandy, but then again, a check took some of the pack across Gandy to once again find the in-trail, looping right back to where we were before. Circling back to Gandy, we blazed on only following some pack marks by the walkers, we eventually caught up to the walkers for some daring wooden walkway action, before reaching the Gandy Bridge.
Proceeding under the bridge, the pack found a RAT . . . a RACOON . . . and a CAT, living in sin under the bridge (was this the Trouple of which they named the trail for?). Popping out the other side, it was time for the in-trail to actually begin. Dashing through a large open parking lot on the bay, we eventually found our chief hare, Math, passing out beverages at the beer stop. Continuing on along the sidewalk, there were two foreign symbols that looked like handcuffs. At the chalk talk, we were informed these were J-hooks, but the pack universally gave them a miss and trundled their way the final mile or so into the finish . . . covering that same part we found earlier in the evening.

Once the pack had reassembled back in the parking lot, we had but 45 minutes to get to the bar before closing, so we quickly gathered round in circle to recognize our two visitors from New Jersey (Whoreshack and Flower Power Splooge), our two returning no namers (Dark Helmet’s Niece and Beau), the hares of course (who also were honored with the Brainless award), and a quick round of accusations, and then were meandered down the road to get some food. Despite the confusion, it all turned out well, we had a great time on a fun trail, and all was right in the world. Thanks hares for setting trail.
