Hare's Hash Trash

It was a rather warm day, but an hour before trail it began a steady rain that cooled things off. It slowed down and even stopped raining before we took off on trail, but soon after we were on trail, down it came again. Actually not as hard as it looked like it was going to, and did not wash away the marks, but it was steady.

The prepared trail was too much shiggy, so at the last minute, our hare Yours Truly - Hazukashii, made a random trail that kept to the pavement where trail marks could be better seen in the rain. It turned out to be an 8 km wash up, with some interesting twists and turns. The pack of about a dozen were all in shortly after the hare, and circle commenced. Short and sweet, we were in for dinner by 9. Life is good.

Since there was no hare signed up for next week, we'll be back at the same spot next week to run the intended trail . . . hopefully the weather will be on our side then.

Scribe's Hash Trash

It was a solid turnout for this wet trail on the left side of the bridges - more than half the pack were team Pinellas County. Before the pack was on out, Dabadoo mentioned that there would be no beer check unless someone volunteered to drive the beer van... so our two heroic harriettes (OrangeIsTheNewSnatch and MathSucks) stepped up to provide liquid nourishment to their favorite wankers. Unfortunately, no one told the 2 half-minds where to go so they just drove around in circles until they spotted some walkers crossing a parking lot. This impromptu beer check became a Tetris competition and it turns out that the HaySnatch-mobile can, in fact, fit 7 hashers, 1 pup, and 1 beer cooler. I hear JewbanPenileCrisis even got lucky in that clown car. Though the RA failed to bring us acceptable hashing weather, and the beer van never found the runners, it was the NYTimes that really cursed Hazukashii this Wednesday. The Wordle of the day was "snare", and that's exactly what happened - speedsters AccidentalAnal and Haystack caught the hare and pantsed him. In circle, BiNBulk received a DOUBLE blow job from two harriers. While Chippenfail was quite the eager beaver with that task, TamponPuller made us question his credentials, as he did not seem to understand the whole "grab the string with your teeth and pull" aspect of the tradition. ShittingBull, back from a few months of being lost in the woods, honored our hare by sporting a new "high and tight" USMC-style haircut. Haz, in turn, honored the pack with some awesome hash travel souvenirs. Then Dab spent 69 minutes answering questions about the January cruise and KISS traumatized JustEdith with her Rover song. Finally, we all botched Swing Low multiple times then gave up and went to the bar. Next week we try again at this same location - come take another bite of Haz's apple in North St. Pete!
