Welcome Aboard: Ye time is nigh to
start preparing for the 16th Annual Jolly Roger Hash House Harriers
Pirate Invasion Hash Cruise (JRH3 PIHC) and the 22nd birthday of the
JRH3! But first, we must
commandeer a ship. We've selected a fine lady, the Celebrity
Apex, setting sail Sat, Jan 18th thru Sat, Jan 25th, in the year of our Lord, 2025. This will be a 7 night, 4
destination hash cruise out of Ft Lauderdale.
Destinations include Key West, FL; Bimini Islands, Nassau, Bahamas and Puerto Plata/Amber Cove, Dominican Republic.
Hash Trails: There will be at
least 3 trails on board ship and 1 trail at each of our 4
destinations, for at total of 7 hash trails, in 7 days.
Special Events & Suggested Attire: Wear a pirate costume as
we commander the ship for the first
day's trail and dinner, https://www.yandy.com/pirate-costumes.php.
Wear your finest dinner attire for formal night. Don a tutu during our
Jan 22 (tutu) trail, http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Non-Sew-Tutu. Strap on a kilt for our final
farewell evening’s
“Swing Low” Dinner,

Costs:
There
are two costs associated
with this "hash" cruise. There's the
hash registration (REGO) fee that pays for all the stuff
associated with the JRH3 hash events, and
then there's the cruise cost that pays for your cabin.
Hash Registration (REGO) & REGO Fee: For the first
time ever, our
travel agent will be collecting the Hash REGO fee as part of your
registration process in an effort to streamline the registration
process.
Register for the hash online using HASH REGO, at
https://hashrego.com/events/jrh3-hash-cruise-2025,
before doing anything else! We need the information it asks
for to determine what event shirt size and type you want, your
contact info and so on. You
can pay for your REGO fee online using the HASH REGO app, through Venmo.
Or, you can go
directly online
to Venmo to pay the REGO fee by going to
Jennifer
Ridenhour
@JenRidenhour, or use the QR code on the left. You can also send
your REGO payment to Jennifer at (314) 922-2911 via Zelle. Or, you
can contact Jennifer by telphone and she can accept payments through
PayPal. As a last resort, you can pay for your REGO the old fashion
way using US snail mail by sending a check, or money order, payable
in US dollars to me, Richard Geers, 7007 Orvicti Ct, Wesley Chapel,
FL 33544.
Hash REGO Fee Cost:
The hash REGO fee is
$89. It pays for
7 hash trails (3 on board ship and 4 at the destinations),
down down beverages, ice, coolers, etc. It also pays for
pirate booty (gimmies), prizes (during the hash games)
and for other miscellaneous expenses and complimentary
items. The REGO does not cover beverages aboard ship because
a liquor package is included in "Goup Rate Cabin Costs",
below. REGO fees also do not cover on after bars, or any
follow on pub crawls after trail. Once the circle is closed, you're
on your own expense.
Note:
Non-hasher friends and relatives that want to sail with us,
but do not want to attend our group events, DO NOT need to
register or pay the
hash REGO fees.
Booking Your Cabin: To be part of the Jolly Roger H3 Group,
it's essential that you book through our "official" JRH3 travel
agency, Ridenhour Travel, because the more bookings we make through
them the more we get back from the cruiseline. Size matters (that's what she said)! It's the size of our
group that cruise lines uses to determine the benefits for our group. The
more members in our group, the more points we accumulate to be
used toward on-board ship credits, private events and perks. So
please do your part by being part of our JRH3 Group. Otherwise, you
will be subject to additional fees to get yourself transferred into
our group.
Group Rate Cabin Costs: The below
cabin prices are based on double occupancy (each person pays half
this price), and INCLUDE taxes, port
fees, 2 liquor
packages and Deluxe WiFi for both. For more info,
prices are subject to change the closer we get to our
sailing date.
Inside Cabin (Interior cabin without any
windows): $3,109.82 ($1,554.91 each)
Deluxe Porthole Cabin (Outside cabin with a porthole):
$3,367.82 ($1,683.91 each)
Infinite Veranda Cabin (Outside cabin with a balcony): $3,741.82
($1,870.91 each)
Concierge Cabin
(Larger Outside cabin with a balcony + amenities):
$4,023.82 ($2,011.91 each)
Note: Single occupants pay the double occupancy
prices minus the taxes and port fees of the the person not
occupying the other bed.
JRH3 Travel Agent:
To reserve one of the above cabins and for additional information on single,
triple, quad, or more expensive luxurious cabins, insurance, etc, contact
our official travel agent, Jennifer Ridenhour, of Ridenhour Travel, at
1-(314)-922-2911, by telephone/text,
or at ridenhourtravel@gmail.com by email. If you have trouble
contacting Jennifer by telephone, go to
https://calendly.com/ridenhourtravel to schedule a telephone
appointment. Once again, you must use our designated travel agent to
be part of our group or you will be subject to additional
fees, or be denied the purchase of a REGO and participation in our
group activities.
Military Discounts: Military discounts are available with
"PRE-REGISTRATION" on id.me. Register at "ID.me",
https://www.Id.me
to get the discount. THIS MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO MAKING YOUR FINAL
PAYMENT. Make sure you advise our travel agent, Jennifer, know you
are eligible and want the military discount when you contact
her about reserving a cabin.
Tips & Gratuities: Cabin tips & gratuities are extra and are NOT
automatically included with the purchase of your cabin, as other tips
and gratuities are! And they
are a lot harder to be removed if you are unhappy with your service
after the fact. So, we recommend against pre-paying cabin tips and
gratuities in advance.
Other Additional Costs:
Airfare, ground
transportation, excursions, travel insurance,
pre-lube
and post-lube hashes are optional additional expenses not
covered by the above quoted cabin costs, or REGO fee, unless otherwise
stated so here, or by our travel agent.
Cabin Deposits: A cabin deposit of $500 (for 1-2 people)
+ $89 each for
REGO fees, is due NLT May 1st, 2024. Cabin costs and REGO
fees are likely to
increase after this date.
Cabin Cost Due Dates: All group rate bookings must be paid in
full by Oct 1st, 2024. Payment plans options are available.
Please ask about them while booking.
Refunds: If you need to cancel, for any reason, you must do so by
Oct 1st 2024, in order to get a
full refund, or credt, for your cabin and a 100% cash refund on
your REGO fees.
Cancellations after this date may result in reduced refund
amounts. Ask our travel agent about insurance in case you
have an emergency and need to cancel after Oct 1st, 2024.
