Commentary (Expanded Hash Trash)

It was our annual tribute to the Marine Corps Birthday, and Veteran’s Day. Our number 1 Jarhead, Hazukashii did the honors of setting this trail complete with pushup checks, low crawl beer stops, two wall climbs and one repelling off the side of a 7-11. We had over a dozen lined up for inspection prior, only two failed, but with the follow up inspection at the on in . . . the entire pack was standing tall, covered in blood and mud, and whistling the Marine’s Hymn. Well done to the pack. Circle started with recitation of general orders and study of the rank structure, followed by close order drill. In the end, Marco maintained his tight grip on the Gomer Pyle Brainless Award for another week, KISS scored with the best R. Lee Ermey RA / drill instructor impersonation, and the pack graduated to full time hashers. We even had one virgin who was so shell shocked, she may never come back. We then marched to the on after, to the cadence of . . . If you want a piece tonight . . . IF YOU WANT A PIECE TONIGHT . . . Stomp your left and drag your right . . . STOMP YOUR LEFT AND DRAG YOUR RIGHT . . . Sound Off . . . ONE TWO . . . Sound Off . . . THREE FOUR . . . Sound Off . . . ONE TWO . . . THREE FOUR!!!!

Theme: The USMC's birthday is on Nov 10th and Veteran's Day is Nov 11th, so it seems only fitting to celebrate both during this hash. So, come dressed wearing something patriotic (red, white and blue), or military related (camouflaged attire, etc).

Safety: Make sure you bring a flashlight and/or h'd lamp and wear reflective clothing, as it will be dark on trail. Also, please carry a mobile phone with you on trail, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area in case you get lost, hurt, scared, mugged, etc. The days of technology on trail being an offense is long gone, in this hash, for safety reasons.
