Welcome Aboard: Ye time is nigh to start preparing for the 12th Annual Jolly Roger Hash House Harriers (JRH3) Pirate Invasion Hash Cruise! But first, we must commandeer a ship. We've selected a fine lady, the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody Of The Seas, setting sail Sat, Jan 18th - Sat, Jan 25th, in the year of our Lord, 2020. This will be a 7 day, 4 destination cruise out of Tampa, FL, to Key West, FL; George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico and Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico. A hash trail will be set at each destination (If you would like to volunteer to hare at a destination and represent your home hash, let us know).

Schedule:

• Fri, Jan 17th: Pre-registration at the Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas (hash hotel) in cocktail lounge, from 4 - 6 PM, followed by a pre-lube hash starting at 6:30 PM.

• Sat, Jan 18th: Board the ship at the Royal Caribbean between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. Attend a Photo Shoot Hash and social in full pirate attire shortly after sailing .

• Sun, Jan 19th: Key West Invasion from 11 AM to 6 PM, where the Key West H3 will host a trail and a pub crawl for us up Duval Street. Then go dress up in your best formal attire for formal night aboard ship.

• Mon, Jan 20th: Full day at sea where we will conduct a hash challenge followed by a Walk The Plank Hash and a full 1 hour open bar.

• Tue, Jan 21st: George Town, Grand Cayman Invasion and hash from 7AM to 3:30 PM.

• Wed, Jan 22nd: Cozumel, Mexico Invasion and hash from 10:30 AM - 8 PM, wearing tutus (because it is the 22nd day of the month).

• Thu, Jan 23rd: Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico Invasion and hash from 8AM - 5 PM.

• Fri, Jan 24th: Full day at sea where we will conduct a hash games, a cabin-to-cabin crawl and then put on your best kilts for a Swing Low Dinner.

• Sat, Jan 25th: Wake up back in Tampa, at 7 AM, where the city will be holding its famous annual Gasparilla Parade from 2 - 5:30 PM within walking distance from the port. Wear your pirate attire for this.

Costs: There are two costs associated with this "hash" cruise. There's the hash registration (rego) fee that is paid to the JRH3 and then there's the cruise cost that is paid to our designated travel agent and cruise line. To view the cost chart, scroll down near the bottom of this site.

Hash Rego Fee: The hash rego fee pays for 6 hash trails (2 on board ship and 4 at the destinations), down down beer, pirate booty (gimmies) and the prizes for the hash challenges, hash games and other miscellaneous expenses. However, you may need to provide some of your own beer during some of the hashes to defray the cost. The hash rego fee is now frozen at $149. You can pay for your rego through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, your bank's bill pay system, or by check or money order. Cabin Cost: This pays for your cabin only, not the hashes, parties, etc. Cabins cost approximately $484 - $1296, per person, plus taxes and port fees, depending upon what type of cabin you get and how many cabin mates you have. Once you book your cabin, our travel agent will ensure you get the lowest possible rate if the cost happens to decrease due to specials going on between now the day we sail. Be advised however, most of the sales occur early. The longer you wait the more you will pay. You must book your cruise with our "designated" travel agent in order to be considered a member of our group and be authorized to attend the on-board-ship parties. Contact our travel agent, Kathy Yacone, at 727-797-5730, by telephone, or at dunedintravel@yahoo.com, by email, to reserve a cabin. Then fill out the Dunedin Travel Registration form and send to to Dunedin Travel along with the following other required forms. To pay by credit card, click here to download the credit card authorization form, fill it out, sign it, and send it along with a photo copy of your drivers license, or state ID, to Dunedin Travel, at 5002 Parrish Lane, Safety Harbor, FL 34695. If you booked through Kathy in the past, she probably still has a copy of your ID. The signature on the ID needs to be from the same person who signs the credit card authorization form. If you do not want travel insurance, click here to down load the travel insurance waiver form, fill it out, sign it and send it to Dunedin Travel as well. If you want to fax these forms you may do so by sending them by fax to 727-726-6386. See below for our group cabin type and costs. Note: These costs "do not" include the hash rego cost. The hash rego cost is also additional.

Additional Costs: Airfare, all ground transportation, excursions, travel insurance, tips, pre-lube and post-lube hashes will be optional additional expenses.

Refunds: REGO fees and cabin are no longer refundable after Oct 20th, 2019. However, they can be applied toward future cruises, or possibly sold to other hashers that are in the process of signing up for this hash cruise. Contact me, Dab, for REGO fee issues and Dunedin Travel for cabin issues

To get in our our "group rates", go to http://bookings.ihotelier.com/bookings.jsp?groupID=2568641&hotelID=98258, and book your room on-line. Our group rates are, $119.00 for a king, or double, city view room, or $149 for a king, or double, bay view room, plus taxes and resort fees. This also gets you complimentary parking for 7 days, and a one way shuttle to the cruise port for $6. Our group rates can be used Jan 15-18 and 25-26, 2020. We have till Dec.16 2019 for them to honor the new rates booked directly with the hotel at 813-281-8900. Alcoholic Beverages Aboard Ship: In the past, most hashers BYOB on board even though its contrary to the Royal Caribbean's policy, as its not all that well enforced, although they are starting to crack down more lately. You just can't be too obvious, or put all your eggs into one basket. Officially, we cannot give you permission or recommend you do this. Unofficially, its a heck of a good idea if you can get away with it (as most people do). Its not against the law, its just against the cruise lines rules as they want you to buy their booze. However, if they find your unauthorized alcohol they will confiscate it and you WILL NO LONGER get it back at the end of the cruise as they have done in the past. So do as you will.
